Refund / Cancellation Policy

1. Appointment Confirmations & Reminders
Once you schedule an appointment with us, you will receive:

Confirmation Messages—sent immediately upon scheduling, either by email, text message, or both (based on the contact information you provide).

Upcoming Appointment Reminders—sent 48 hours before your scheduled session via email and/or text message.

If you do not receive a confirmation or reminder, it is your responsibility to contact us to verify your appointment details.
These communications help ensure you are informed about your scheduled time and reduce the likelihood of missed appointments.
2. Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans change. To cancel or reschedule a session without penalty, you must:

Contact us at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment start time.

Cancellations or reschedules made fewer than 24 hours before the scheduled time may be considered late and may be subject to a $60 no‑show/late cancellation fee.
No‑Shows: If a client fails to appear for a scheduled session without advance notice as described above, the session will be marked as a no‑show and the $60 fee will apply.
3. Refund Policy — Consultation Packages
Refunds for consultation packages are available under the following terms:
a. Eligibility
Refunds are only considered when you cancel sessions according to our cancellation policy above — with at least 24 hours’ advanced notice for each scheduled session you are cancelling.
b. Refund Amounts

Before any sessions completed:
You may cancel the consultation package and receive a full refund of amounts paid, provided all cancellations are timely as described above. -
After 1 completed session:
You may receive an 80% refund of the total package price. -
After 2 completed sessions:
You may receive a 60% refund of the total package price. -
After more than 2 sessions completed:
No refunds will be issued once additional sessions have been completed beyond the second session.
Refunds are calculated based on services not yet rendered and only when advance notice requirements are met.
c. Refund Process

Refunds, if approved, will be issued to the original payment method within 7–14 business days of your refund request approval.

You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been processed.
4. Legal Disclosures & Consumer Rights
a. Notice of Terms
All cancellation and refund terms are communicated clearly at the time of scheduling or purchase. These terms form part of your agreement with Shorter Nutrition & Wellness, and you acknowledge understanding them by securing services with us.
b. NC Consumer Protection Considerations
North Carolina law requires that businesses provide clear and conspicuous refund and cancellation terms to consumers before a contract is entered. While there is no universal right to cancel all service contracts under NC law, where cancellation rights are offered in writing, they should be honored consistent with the terms disclosed.
